Automatic Transfer Switches
Fully automatic, the system detects an interruption of electrical service and engages to power the essential systems in your home. When utility power is restored, the standby system shuts down, automatically resetting itself. The entire power transfer cycle is fully automatic -- it is not necessary to be at home!
Onan offers a full line of automatic, non-automatic and bypass switches to maintain the critical link between the normal power source and the Onan power system. Available in a full range of current ratings and in 3- or 4-pole models, Onan transfer switches are subjected to the same design, manufacturing and rigorous testing process as our generator sets.
Onan's bypass transfer switches maintain the critical link even when maintenance, service and testing is being performed on the main transfer switch mechanism, while maintaining non-interupted power to the served loads.
